Maxxis Rekon Dual EXO 29+ Folding Tyre

The Rekon 2.6 is a high-volume tyre that you can use for daily touring, in the woods and for all-mountain shredding, but can also detour into rougher terrain. 

Maxxis recommends the Rekon primarily for use on the rear wheel. It is best to combine it with a wide Forekaster at the front, but you can also use coarser profiles.

Technology:

Dual
For the Dual Compound, two different rubber compounds are processed into one tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned individually according to the desired properties of Maxxis tyres.

EXO Protection
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewalls of various Maxxis MTB tyres. It is very tightly woven, light and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tyres remains convincingly good.

Wide Trail (WT):
This design optimises the tread layout and tyre shape on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed for narrower rims and become square on wider rims, resulting in a less than optimal performance. WT tyres are optimised for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner rim width of 30 - 40 mm. Concerns tyres with a width of 2.4" and above.
