Based at Shortgate Industrial Park, near Lewes in East Sussex, the trainSharp workshop offers thorough, competitively priced servicing, repairs and maintenance for all types of bike – road, gravel, MTB, e-bike, commuter and family bikes.
Our technicians are experienced road and mountain bike riders, trained to ATG Cytech Level 2 and above, so you get proper advice and work you can trust – whether you’re riding to work, heading out on the South Downs, or racing at the weekend.

We work on any bike, any brand, any age – not just the bikes we sell.
Our mechanics are just as happy bringing a 20-year-old family bike back to life as they are fettling a Di2 race machine. We treat every bike with the same care and respect, and we’re always honest about what’s worth doing and what isn’t.

Free Cycle Health Check £0.00
A quick but thorough once-over while you’re here:
• Check frame, fork and wheels for damage
• Check brakes, gears, tyres and bearings
• Safety check of bolts and contact points
• Simple written report of anything that needs attention
Ideal if you’ve just dug a bike out of the shed, or you’re not sure what level of service you need.
Bronze Service £60.00
A solid safety service and setup check.
Perfect for bikes that are generally running OK but need a proper check and tune-up.
Includes:
• Full safety inspection
• Gears adjusted and indexed
• Brakes checked and adjusted
• All bolts torqued to the correct specification
• Tyres checked and inflated to suitable pressure
Silver Service £90.00
Our most popular service – a deep clean and refresh.
Best for regularly ridden bikes (commuting, club rides, training bikes) that need more than just a quick tweak.
Everything in Bronze, plus:
• Drivetrain removed and degreased in a dedicated parts washer
• Chain, cassette and chainrings cleaned and re-lubed
• Gear and brake inner cables replaced (where applicable)
• Wheels and tyres checked for wear
• Wheel truing included where necessary
• Fresh grease applied to the drivetrain contact points
• Service report included
Gold Service £150.00
The full strip-down – as close to a new bike as it gets.
Ideal once a year for your main bike, or before a big event or race season.
• Complete strip-down of the bike to the bare frame
• All components cleaned, inspected and re-fitted
• Hubs, headset and bottom bracket checked, cleaned and re-greased or replaced as needed
• All cables replaced and brakes bled / fluid changed (where applicable)
• Wheels checked, trued and tensioned
• Drivetrain fully cleaned and re-lubed
• Full function and safety check before collection
• Service report on completion (replacement parts not included)
If you’re unsure whether your bike needs Silver or Gold, we’ll always give you honest advice when we see it.
Specialist Workshop Jobs
As well as standard servicing, we regularly take on jobs that many home mechanics can’t or don’t want to tackle, including:
• Wheel and hub bearing servicing
• Hydraulic brake servicing and bleeding
• Frame pivot bearing replacement (full-suspension MTBs)
• Bottom bracket pressing and removal
• Tubeless tyre setup and troubleshooting
• Di2 firmware updates and checks

Bosch-Certified e-Bike Servicing
We’re fully Bosch-certified for e-bike servicing and diagnostics.
That means we can:
• Run full diagnostics on your Bosch e-bike system
• Perform software updates and checks
• Advise on faults and error codes
• Supply and fit genuine Bosch spares and components
All of our workshop bays are equipped with the latest diagnostic tools and access to the full Bosch spares catalogue, so your e-bike is in safe hands.
