A trainSharp road bike fit is built around three things: performance, comfort and injury prevention. Whether you’re a club rider, sportive enthusiast or racer, we’ll help you ride faster, further and with fewer niggles.

- Riders with numb hands, sore knees, back/neck pain or saddle discomfort
- Anyone who’s never had a proper bike fit and wants their main bike dialled
What’s included in a Road Bike Fit
1. Consultation & assessment
- Rider interview – goals, history, current issues
- Off-the-bike assessment – posture, leg length, flexibility and any past injuries
2. On-the-bike fit session
- Existing bike set up on the turbo trainer
- Saddle height and setback assessed and adjusted
- Cleat position checked and set (fore-aft, rotation and stance width)
- Reach and handlebar drop adjusted (stem, spacers, bar rotation)
- Video-based observation from multiple angles to refine your pedalling and posture
3. Position data & aftercare
- Full before and after measurements (saddle height, setback, bar reach/drop, etc.) so you can replicate your fit on future bikes
- Advice on potential component changes (saddle, stem, bars, insoles)
- Free re-tweak session if you need small adjustments after riding the new position for a few weeks
Our philosophy is that the best tool is a skilled fitter. We use modern tools to support the process, but the real value is the experience of fitters who work daily with riders from first-time roadies to WorldTour pros.
Booking & practical info
- Fits are usually available Monday–Friday at 10:00 or 14:00
- Allow around 3 hours for your fit
Please bring:
- Your bike
- Cycling shoes and regular riding kit
- Any spare components you might want to try (saddle, stems, bars, etc.)
Once payment has been made we’ll contact you to arrange a suitable day and time for your fit at our studio in Shortgate Industrial Park, near Lewes, East Sussex.
