trainSharp Gold Bike Service (Full Strip-Down) – Lewes, East Sussex

As close to a new bike as it gets. We strip the frame bare and rebuild it to our professional standards.

This is the "no compromises" option for riders heading into a race season or a big event

  • Complete Strip-Down: Every single component is removed from the frame and checked for damage and serviceability.
  • Drivetrain Deep Clean: Full degrease of dirty components, including sonic clean of chain and a re-wax.
  • Full Bearing Overhaul: Hubs, headset, and freewheel are opened, cleaned, and repacked with premium grease (or replaced if required). Pedal bearings are checked for wear.
  • Bottom Bracket: shells cleaned and frame faces reamed if necessary to ensure a perfect, creak-free fit.
  • Mechanical Brakes: New stainless steel inner cables fitted as standard. Brake pads inspected for wear, brakes adjusted.
  • Mechanical Gears: New stainless steel inner cables fitted as standard. Front and rear gears adjusted.
  • Hydraulic Brakes: Full brake bleed (front and rear) to ensure maximum stopping power and reliability. Pads and Rotors inspected for serviceability plus rotors checked for run out (adjusted when possible).
  • Electronic Gears: Di2/AXS firmware updated and indexed. Batteries tested for charge; derailleurs checked for damage and wear (including rear jockey wheels).
  • Wheel Check: Spoke tensions balanced and trued.
  • Tyre Check: Tyres and valves checked for condition, tubeless sealant topped up if necessary.
  • Other: Seat-post is removed and re-greased, saddle clamp is checked for damage. Cockpit is checked for damage and alignment.  All bolts are checked for tightness and torqued as required.
  • Showroom Finish: Frame is deep-cleaned and polished.
