Why regular servicing matters

Bikes wear gradually, so problems creep up unnoticed. A stretched chain wears out your cassette and chainrings. Contaminated brake pads lose power in the wet. Dry bearings turn rough and wear the parts around them. A regular service catches these early, while they're cheap to fix.

Servicing also keeps your bike safe. We check the frame, fork, wheels and brakes for damage and wear every time, and torque every bolt to the correct setting, which matters especially on carbon parts.

Parts and extra work

If we find anything that needs replacing, such as a worn chain, brake pads or tyres, we'll contact you, explain why, and agree the price before we fit anything. We'll never add work without asking.

Frequently asked questions

Which service does my bike need?

If your bike runs well and you just want it checked, choose Bronze. If it's done a lot of miles, the gears are noisy or the brakes feel spongy, choose Silver. For a race bike or a bike that hasn't been serviced in years, choose Gold.

How long does a service take?

It depends on the service and how busy the workshop is. We'll give you a time when we confirm your booking, and keep you updated if we find anything extra.

Are parts included in the price?

The service price covers labour and workshop consumables. Replacement parts, such as chains, cassettes, brake pads or tyres, are extra, and we always agree them with you first.

Can you collect my bike?

Yes. Add collection when you book, for £15 per bike including the return. See collection and delivery for the areas we cover.

Do you service bikes with electronic gears?

Yes. We service Shimano Di2 and SRAM AXS bikes, and our Gold service includes software updates for them.
