Bike damage reports for insurance claims
After a crash or an accident, your insurer will usually want a written report on the damage to your bike. Our mechanics inspect the bike thoroughly, record the damage, and give you a clear written report with the cost of repair or replacement.
We also check that the bike is safe to ride, because some damage, especially to carbon frames and forks, isn't obvious.

What's in a damage report?
Our reports describe the bike, the damage we found and what's needed to put it right. We inspect the frame, fork, wheels, groupset, cockpit and saddle, and note any damage to accessories such as lights, computers and power meters.
For each damaged item we say whether it can be repaired or must be replaced, with the cost. We include photos, so your insurer can see exactly what we found.

Don't ride a crashed carbon bike until it's checked
Carbon can be damaged inside with little sign on the surface. If your bike has been in a crash, have it inspected before you ride it again.

Will my insurer accept your report?
Our reports are written for insurers, with the information they usually ask for. If your insurer has a specific form, send it to us and we'll complete it.
Can you repair the bike after the report?
Yes. Once your claim is agreed, we can order the parts and carry out the repairs.
Do you check carbon frames?
Yes. We inspect carbon frames and forks carefully for cracks and impact damage, and we'll tell you honestly if a part isn't safe.
