Gravel bike fit
Gravel riding asks different things of your position than road riding. You spend longer in the saddle, ride over rough surfaces, climb steep tracks and handle a loaded bike. A gravel bike fit gives you a stable, comfortable position that still pedals efficiently.
Our gravel fits take about three hours at our studio near Lewes. We fit your own bike, check your weight distribution on video and give you practical advice on bars, stems, saddles and tyres.

A gravel bike fit adjusts your bike to your body for the demands of mixed-terrain riding. Where a road fit leans towards an efficient, aerodynamic position, a gravel fit puts more weight on stability, control and all-day comfort.
On rough ground your hands, wrists and shoulders absorb far more vibration, so reach, bar width and flare matter. Your weight needs to be balanced between the wheels, so the front tyre grips on loose descents and the rear wheel doesn't spin on steep climbs. And because gravel rides are often long and remote, small aches become big problems many miles from home.
We set your position for the riding you actually do, whether that's fast gravel events, weekend adventures on the South Downs or multi-day bikepacking trips.
Gravel riding exposes position problems quickly, because of the vibration and the hours.
We ask about your riding, terrain, distances, events and any bikepacking setup, plus any injuries or aches.
Flexibility, posture, leg length and foot checks tell us what your body can comfortably sustain for hours.
Cleats, saddle height, setback and tilt are set for steady power on long climbs and comfort over rough ground.
We set reach and drop, and look at bar width and flare for control in the drops and comfort on the tops.
Video helps us check your balance between the wheels, which affects grip and handling off-road.
You get before and after measurements and honest advice on bars, stem, saddle and tyre choice.
Many riders use one gravel bike for everything: commuting, winter road miles and weekend trails. We can set your position to work well across all of them, and show you the small changes, such as a stem swap or a different tyre, that adapt the bike when you switch.
If road riding is your main focus, our road bike fit may suit you better. If you're choosing a new gravel bike, start with a frame and size fit.
Your gravel bike, your shoes, your usual riding kit, and any bags you ride with, so we can check how they affect your position.
Pay online to secure your fit. We'll be in touch to agree a date.
