BlackChili Compound
Using nano-optimised carbon black particles, Continental blends specially developed synthetic rubbers with natural rubber to create high-performance tread compounds. For this model, the mixture is fine-tuned specifically for even greater speed.

Vectran™ Protection
Vectran™ is a high-tech fibre inspired by natural spider silk and produced as a liquid-crystalline polymer (LCP). Spun into a multi-strand thread, it offers exceptional tear resistance at minimal weight. Used as a puncture protection belt, the Vectran™ Breaker is lighter, more supple and more effective at preventing cuts than an equivalent nylon layer—and it achieves this without compromising rolling resistance.
